Resolution

 

The Resolution Trio is a jazz piano trio from Manhattan, NY. Resolution offers the perfect entertainment for restaurants, public venues, and private events by young adults who are thrilled to honor the sacred tradition of swing and be-bop. Members Gabe Valle, Andres Vahos, and Nate Sander, are all recent college graduates and study privately with current and former members of the Smoke Big Band, New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Orchestra, Art Blakeyʼs Jazz Messengers, and have themselves taught music extensively throughout New York and New Jersey, privately, for public schools,  schools of music, universities, and serve as musical directors of pit orchestras and churches.

Together, members of The Resolution Trio have won distinguished honors and awards in both conducting and performing, in chamber music, of the classical medium, jazz combos, and jazz big bands, including Gabe winning Grand Prize at the Eclectic Strings Competition at the ASTA National Convention for his jazz violin virtuosity. They have collectively been seen in prestigious periodicals including The New York Times and Downbeat jazz magazine.

The Resolution Trio has collectively played in such venues as the Lycian Theatre, Eisenhower Hall, Carnegie Hall, Bamboozle, and NYC jazz clubs Café Vivaldi, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, JALC, The Underground Lounge, Smalls Jazz Club, and The Blue Note. Additionally, they have performed in such cities as Washington D.C., Beijing, New Orleans, Prague, and La Croix-Valmer, France. Members of Resolution Trio have also been heard on PBS Television and National Public Radio specials and have had the honor to play under musical legends such as Mulgrew Miller, Gunther Schuller, Steven Reineke as well as the likes of pop star Jermaine Paul, the multi-faceted Ann Hampton Callaway, and world-class jazz musicians Mark Egan, Jeff Ciampa, Sherrie Maricle, and Adam Nussbaum
